THE NEXT STEP.04

People who follow our program can enter into ‘Next step accommodation’. During this period, service users work with our volunteer co-ordinators and are engaged in ongoing work experience, education and training. We continue to help everyone by offering weekly check-in groups and floating support.

This process allows people to become accustomed to living independently. This is often the first step for many of them in taking responsibility for their lives. Whilst taking these first steps forward, you can continue to access our help and guidance when needed. Those who follow our ‘Next step’ program for a year or more, can (if they wish) move on toward their own tenancies.

Once in their own tenancies, the person will be referred through to floating support, they will still be offered a key worker, they will be supported with the move and setting up in their new homes. We encourage everyone to keep connected with ourselves and peers. Our door is always open to them for them to call in at any time and always feel welcome.
